Digital Production Manager - Remedy Health Media

August 2021 - Present

·       Digital Production Manager responsible for managing all multimedia products that get published on the Patient Power and OBR Oncology websites. As projects are contracted, manage and track projects throughout the production process to include assigning producers, editors, and content editorial staff.

·       Ensure the teams are aware of milestone dates, and project deliveries, and I ensure all elements for web publication are completed on time and delivered properly.

  • Track budgets costs versus estimates, hire contractors as needed, help to train staff members on production techniques and how to use the project database.

 

Producer/Director – Fairfax County Government, Fairfax VA

January 2017 – July 2021

·       Provide primary technical support and expertise to agency users in the planning of cable programs for the government access channels from pre-production to post-production.

·       Produces/directs field, studio, and mobile studio location productions for the government access channels and Institutional Training Network.

·       Coordinates and produces simultaneous productions on the government access channels.

·       Plans and delivers training programs on usage of video equipment and elements of production to staff.

·       Performs scriptwriting and oversees editing of all production on the government access channels and Institutional Training Network

·       Analyzes program production requests and determines staff hours needed to accomplish the same.

·       Host of the “EnviroPod” Podcast sponsored by the Department of Public Works and Environmental Services.

Project Manager/Production Scheduling – The Teaching Company, Chantilly VA

April 2013 – July 2016

·       Oversaw the scheduling, logistics, tracking, communications and monitored the pre-production, production, post-production, mastering and delivery of more than 500 hours of video and audio products a year. 

·       Projected course scheduling for long-term video project release including, setting budgets, projecting deadlines, and resource assignments for productions in collaboration with Sr. Director. 

·       Planned resources for a team of over 90 staff members, both company employees and contractors.  Resources included 13 producers, 20 video editors, 7 graphic artists/animators, 4 audio engineers, 7 intellectual property associate producers, studio crew to cover multiple studios, and 7 QC technicians

·       Ensured consistent project delivery; maintained clear workflows, provided clear communications and created sustainable schedules with clear milestones on a multitude of ongoing and overlapping projects.

 

Freelance Producer/Director – The Teaching Company, Chantilly VA

December 2012 – March 2013

·       Post-produced a 24-lecture course for www.thegreatcourses.com - “What Science Knows About Cancer.”  Oversaw multiple graphic designers, animators, and editors to produce an on-line video course that encompassed twenty-four 35-minute lectures that will be sold to lifelong learning customers of The Teaching Company.

 

Producer/Director – CACI Productions Group, Chantilly VA

June 2012 – December 2012

·       Produced video content for http://www.militarykidsconnect.org, an initiative of the National Center for Telehealth & Technology (T2), the Department of Defense agency formed to evaluate and leverage available and emerging software and hardware in support of psychological health and traumatic brain injury in the broad military community.  Website has received more than 100,000 visitors since 2011.

·       Produced video and web content for CACI customers including Washington Metro Airport Transportation Authority, Pangia Cyber Network Operations, ExxonMobil, and CACI Corporate Communications.

 

Video Production Manager – CACI, NRO Media Services Center, Chantilly, VA   

November 2009 – June 2012

·       Lead the strategic direction and operation for a multimedia team in support of the NRO’s Media Services Center. Developed five-year plan for capturing premiere customers and projects, technology advancements, and collaborative teaming environment.

·       Managed staff of 20 multimedia producers, editors, animators, web developers, photographers, and production specialists.  Also acted as the liaison between the government management and production team.

·       Represented Media Services Center to customers, ensuring that the client received not just video products, but the best media that would fit their needs from resource throughout the department; then ensured that the project scope was defined, and the proper personnel was assigned to the task.

·       Developed communications plans for customers who needed graphic design, video production, web development, and multimedia production. Strived to solidify MSC as an institutional partner with communicators across the agency.

·       Collaborated with the NRO’s Office of Strategic Communications to provide media products and communications for the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office. Work included branded campaigns and coverage of NRO Launches, the 50th Anniversary of the NRO, and Congressional briefings pertaining to NRO programs and assets.

·       Managed the transition of a tape-based video archive of 5,000 hours to a digitally stored Digital Asset Management system.

·       Transitioned video team from Standard Definition to High Definition acquisition and post-production workflow.

 

Producer/Director – CACI, NRO Media Services Center, Chantilly VA

May 2005- June 2012

·       Produced video and web products for NRO Media Service Center customers.  Videos included promotional, motivational, educational, training, and technical products delivered across the agency enterprise and website which received over 5,000 visitors a week. 

·       Acted as Lead Producer for 13 NRO launch activities from 2007-2012; roles included directing live webcasts, writing/editing/producing launch campaign video and web articles, developing campaign branding, ensuring overall quality and continuity of products, and facilitating logistics of event coverage.

·       Produced and directed the annual Intelligence Community Media Excellence Awards show. (2009-2012)

·       Developed a SharePoint site as a collaboration tool to capture all project information pertaining to launch coverage.  Received CACI recognition for the process improvement effort.

·       Produced, Scripted, and Hosted – “NROnline” – a bi-weekly webcast about Intra-web resources across the Intelligence Community.  Show received 400-800 viewers per episode.

June 2004-May 2005

·       Provided video production and conference center support for NGA customers.  Responsibilities included client consultation, script writing, video camera operation, lighting, graphics, AVID Media Composer, and Sony Digital Beta SX video editing.

 

Multimedia Production Analyst – Team Lead - Lockheed Martin Technical Operations, Springfield, VA      

June 1999 – June 2004 (Team Lead - September 2000)

·       Produced video packages in support of Lockheed Martin clients.  Responsibilities included scriptwriting, client consultation and project planning, Sony BetaCam Digital SX & SP operation, lighting, AVID Media Composer, and Sony Digital Beta SX video editing.

·       Video packages included long-form promotional videos, employee training videos, ENG style articles, and coverage of briefings, classrooms, conferences and other live events.

·       Edited daily video briefings, which were disseminated to intelligence and military customers across the world.

·       Lead the Video Graphic Services department by acting as the client point-of-contact, maintaining logs, equipment, budgets, schedules, inventory, and facilitating continuous process improvement.

·       Developed departmental goals and staffing plan to be able to handle new Firm-Fixed priced IDIQ contract capabilities.
